studio AME is an architectural design office based in Tokyo and Shanghai, working across architecture, spatial, and furniture design. It brings different cultural perspectives into a shared practice, exploring how spaces are shaped by everyday life.

The studio holds a simple conviction: that a building is understood through the lives it holds. Each project begins with close observation—of an object, a material, or the ways people inhabit a place—and develops across scales, from the body and the interior to the building and its wider environment.

Alongside design, the studio offers project management, working closely with clients, collaborators, and craftspeople to carry each project through to completion.
